With the country right in the middle of all the college football bowls, this posting is a fitting way to celebrate that tradition and wind down the postings here on the Blog for the year. The West Virginia University Marching Band showcases their full complement of brass, woodwinds, percussion, flags and twirlers, with a medley of the songs from all branches of the military. They salute the U.S. Army with a tank (and moving track), followed by the Coast Guard with a ship (upside down because for the far side crowd), followed by an eagle for the Marines. Then there is an airplane (with smoke from engines) for the Air Force, followed by a submarine (that dives and moves forward by propeller) for the Navy. Lastly, a great ending with the American Flag and playing of "America, the Beautiful".
